Bolton Suicide Prevention Strategy Consultation

Bolton Suicide Prevention Partnership (BSPP) have produced The 'Strategic framework of evidence based recommendations for preventing suicides in Bolton (2013-16)' that will inform the action of key stakeholders in preventing suicides in Bolton.  It will provide a framework of recommendations taken from national policy, and local evidence that aim to impact on known suicide risk.

    This profile should be a must read for all those involved in the commissioning and management of services associated with public health and health inequalities. This profile currently presents data for the first set of indicators at England and upper tier local authority levels, collated by the public health observatories in England

    Coming Soon: Safeguarding Adults

    The Safeguarding Adults Board is currently revising the multi-agency safeguarding procedures.  The new procedures will set Safeguarding vulnerable adults in the context of adults at risk.  The first draft will be presented to the Local Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) in January 2013.  We aim to have the final draft completed in March 2013.  The work is being led by a multi-agency group representing key stakeholders and derived from the LSAB.  There will be a wider consultation once the first draft is approved by the LSAB.

    Helping Older People Stay Independent: Joint Needs Assessment

    Bolton Council and NHS Bolton are undertaking a joint needs assessment to inform the development of a preventative approach to older people that enables them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.  Following on from the market segmentation analysis, that can be viewed by clicking here, carried out earlier this year, Ipsos MORI have recently completed a qualitative research study with older people in Bolton to help
